What We Collect
When you use MixTapeLabs, we collect only what's necessary to operate the service:
- Email address — when you sign in with Google or submit your email to our waitlist
- Google account info — name, email, and profile photo, provided by Google when you authenticate
- Saved songs — titles, artists, BPM, key, and other metadata you choose to save to your queue
- Audio data — microphone input is processed locally in your browser in real time. We do not record, store, or transmit your audio.
- Usage data — basic analytics via Cloudflare (page views, country, device type). No cookies, no tracking pixels.
How We Use It
- To authenticate you and maintain your account
- To save and retrieve your song queue
- To process payments via Stripe (Pro subscribers)
- To send you product updates if you opted in (you can unsubscribe any time)
Audio & Microphone
MixTapeLabs uses your device's microphone to analyze audio in real time — detecting BPM, key, genre, and other metrics. All audio processing happens entirely within your browser using the Web Audio API. No audio is ever sent to our servers. Song identification clips are sent to a third-party identification API (ACRCloud) for matching only — these clips are not stored.
Third-Party Services
- Supabase — authentication and database (naakpkufiewawbffkooq.supabase.co)
- Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions. We never see or store your card details.
- Google OAuth — sign-in only. We do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, or other Google services.
- Cloudflare — hosting and analytics
Data Retention
Your account and queue data are retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us — we'll remove your data within 30 days.

Children's Privacy
MixTapeLabs is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the site.
