Acceptance

By using MixTapeLabs ("the Service") at mixtapelabs.app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

What MixTapeLabs Is

MixTapeLabs is a real-time audio analysis tool that uses your device's microphone to detect BPM, musical key, genre, and other metrics from music playing around you. It also offers song identification and a personal song queue for Pro subscribers.

Free vs. Pro

• Free: Real-time analysis (BPM, key, genre, EQ visualizer) and limited song IDs per day
• Pro ($7.99/month): Unlimited song IDs, save songs to your personal queue, and future Pro-only features

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse our APIs
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the Service in a way that could harm, overload, or impair it
• Use song identification results for copyright infringement or commercial music piracy

Intellectual Property

MixTapeLabs and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by MixTapeLabs and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Song identification results reference third-party copyrighted works — we display this information for personal reference only.

Microphone & Audio

The Service requires microphone access to function. You grant permission to access your microphone only while the Service is actively in use. Audio is processed locally; we do not record or store your audio. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Disclaimers

MixTapeLabs is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Real-time audio analysis (BPM, key, genre) is inherently approximate and may not be 100% accurate. Song identification results depend on third-party services and may not always find a match. We make no guarantees of uptime, accuracy, or availability.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MixTapeLabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Payments & Refunds

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, but you may cancel at any time to stop future charges.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll notify you of significant changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States.
